Funding & Research Partnerships Manager (Medical Imaging) (m/f/d)

Your mission

We are looking for an experienced Funding & Research Partnerships Manager (m/f/d) to join our Research Partnerships team, supporting NVision’s medical imaging applications and research through the development of competitive research grants. The role requires the ability to independently develop complex grant applications in close collaboration with internal scientists as well as managing partnerships with world-class institutions and supporting their funding applications to use our technology in their research and clinical settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end development and submission of grant applications for research and innovation projects, from opportunity assessment and concept development to proposal writing and submission.

  • Identify and evaluate national and international funding opportunities aligned with NVision's strategic objectives and customer needs.

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, external partners, and customers to define project scope, gather technical input, and shape compelling grant proposals.

  • Conduct scientific and market research to develop clear, accurate, and persuasive proposal content.

  • Manage grant timelines, deliverables, and submission processes independently, ensuring all milestones are met.

  • Ensure proposals comply with funding call requirements, evaluation criteria, and submission guidelines.

  • Coordinate responses to reviewer feedback, revisions, and resubmissions where applicable.

  • Maintain clear communication across all stakeholders and track project progress, priorities, and deliverables.

Your profile

  • PhD in medical physics, biomedical imaging, or a closely related field. 
  • Strong understanding of medical imaging and translational applications. 
  • Proven experience in scientific writing, with a strong portfolio showcasing the ability to distill complex scientific concepts into clear, engaging content for diverse audiences. A history of successful publication of scientific papers is considered an advantage. 
  • Experience managing projects with multiple stakeholders in a scientific or technical setting. 
  • Hands-on research experience with hyperpolarized MRI (HP MRI) is considered a strong advantage. 
  • Experience contributing to or leading NIH R01 grant applications is considered a strong advantage. 
  • Proven ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, including scientists, clinicians, external partners, and non-technical stakeholders, to develop high-quality scientific content. 
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.

This role can be performed remotely from the US East Coast or within the European Union, with occasional travel to our headquarters in Ulm, Germany.
